Internet Connection

Bible Windows 4.5 adds links to Internet resources. Greek texts add links to the Perseus Project and their complete Liddell & Scott Lexicon. While all Bible programs which use the Liddell & Scott Lexicon use the abridged Liddell & Scott Lexicon, the Perseus web site contains the complete, unabridged Lexicon. Perseus also contains links to a significant amount of Classical Greek literature in Greek and English.

Bible Windows 4.5 also adds Internet links to various Bible translations on the Internet. These translations include: NASB, NIV, Darby, Young's, German, Swedish, French and Spanish translations.

Word for word translation of the Hebrew Bible

While Bible Windows has had word-for-word glossing of the Greek New Testament for a long time, version 4.5 adds this feature to the Hebrew Bible. Now, the Bible Windows Interlinear display includes the grammatical tags, dictionary forms, and a translation for each word in the original language texts.

Hebrew Transliteration

The Hebrew Bible can now be viewed in either the original script, or in transliteration.

German Glosses for the Analytical Greek New Testament

Bible Windows gives you the option to see the word-for-word translation in two languages for the Analytical Greek New Testament: English or German.

Webs of Links

Bible Windows 4.5 adds an extensible feature for adding webs of Bible links. Version 4.5 has 3 sets of links for the Synoptic Parallels, Old Testament quotes in the New Testament and Old Testament allusions in the New Testament. Thus, for example, if one is viewing a New Testament text which is a quote of an Old Testament text, you can open up that text with one command. Likewise, if you are viewing an Old Testament text which is quoted one or more times in the New Testament, you can open one or all of these New Testament texts with one command.

Silver Mountain Software expects to release additional webs of links for download at our Internet web site: www.silvermnt.com. Additional webs of links can be added without changing the Bible Windows program.

Other Features

Open English/Open Original Language option lets you compare texts and translations easily.

BSSI Update

We have updated the Biblical Studies Scripture Index. This update indexes the major discussions found in Kittel's TDNT. The update also includes a stand-alone program which allows you to use the BSSI outside of Bible Windows. You do not need to have any of the other BSSI modules to utilize this update.

Silver Mountain Software has created an official Web site: http://www.silvermnt.com. The new general purpose "question line" email address is info@silvermnt.com.

This Web site will contain demonstration versions of our products and we are planning a number of free utilities for our existing customers.

The web site will also let you download minor revisions to our programs. The first free updates will be version 5.01 of the TLG and PHI Workplace programs. If you order these minor updates by mail, there will be a $5 shipping and handling charge.
